David S. Bright, (Litigation, Transactional), partner, born Los Angeles, California, 1949. B.A., cum laude, University of California, Los Angeles (1971); J.D., University of San Diego (1974). Admitted to California Bar (1974). Mr. Bright is a lecturer in real estate law and counsel to the North San Diego County Association of Realtors, and Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors. He is a former President of both the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County, and the Boy's and Girl's Club of Escondido. He has been a member of the California Association of Realtors Legal Affairs and Standard Forms Committees, as well as the San Diego County Bar Association and the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County. Mr. Bright is an experienced civil litigator and transactional attorney with more than twenty-eight years of trial experience. He is also a judge pro tem of the Superior Court, a court-appointed arbitrator, and has testified as an expert witness in real estate cases. He is a founding member and Master of the American Inns of Court, Oliver Wendell Holmes Chapter. Mr. Bright is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell.

Randolph W. Ortlieb, (Litigation, Transactional), partner, born San Diego, California, 1960. B.A., Pomona College (1983); J.D., and M.B.A., Washington University (1987). Admitted to California Bar (1987). Mr. Ortlieb is a member of the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County, and the Oliver Wendell Holmes Inn of  Court; he is also on the Board of Directors of the Palomar Family YMCA. He is also a judge pro tem of the Superior Court. Mr. Ortlieb specializes in disputes involving business transactions, collections, and construction projects. He has substantial successful trial experience in business, construction and collection cases. He also advises clients in transactions including commercial leases, sales of businesses, real estate transactions, and business formation. Mr. Ortlieb is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell.

Michael A. Friedrichs, (Litigation, Transactional), partner, born in Escondido, California, 1964. B.A., University of California, Santa Cruz (1988); J.D., cum laude, Thomas Jefferson School of Law (1995). Admitted to California Bar (1995). During law school, Mr. Friedrichs was the recipient of the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award, and the American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts. He served on the law review of his law school (San Diego Justice Journal) as an author, executive editor, and editor-in-chief. Mr. Friedrichs is a member of the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County and is on the Board of Directors of Interfaith Community Services, in Escondido. Mr. Friedrichs practices in the areas of business litigation, commercial collections, landlord-tenant law, and real estate matters. 

Laura B. Bright, (Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianships, Conservatorships, Elder Law, Transactional), associate, born in Los Angeles, California. B.S., with high honors, San Diego State University (1977); J.D., California Western School of Law (1996). Admitted to California Bar (1996). During law school, Ms. Bright was recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Estate Planning, and the Academic Achievement Award for Accounting for Lawyers. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County and the American Inns of Court-Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. Chapter.

Jodi C. Schnoebelen, (Transactional), associate, born in San Diego, California, 1969. B.A., with departmental honors, University of San Diego (1993); J.D., University of San Diego, School of Law (1997), Admitted to California Bar (1997), L.L.M. Taxation, University of San Diego, School of Law (2003). Ms. Schnoebelen was a member of the University of San Diego Appellate Moot Court Board and received several awards for her participation in Moot Court Competitions. Ms. Schnoebelen is a member of the Order of Barristers and the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County. She serves on the board of Green Oak Ranch Ministries, and the advisory board of California Community Bank. She is a licensed real estate broker and active real estate investor. Ms. Schnoebelen's areas of practice include, real estate, business, tax and estate planning.

Eric R. Ginder, (Litigation), associate, born in Los Angeles, in 1969. B.A. in Political Science, University of Southern California; J.D., Southwestern School of Law (1995); Admitted to California Bar (1996); Mr. Ginder sits on the San Diego Association of Realtors® Risk Reduction Committee as well the California Association of Realtors® Legal Affairs Forum. Mr. Ginder is an experienced civil litigator and transactional attorney with more than nine years of trial experience specializing in the area of real estate broker defense, construction defect and insurance coverage litigation. He ran one of the largest real estate broker risk management services in California and is corporate counsel to several large brokerages, advising clients in transactional matters, including commercial and residential leases, as well as residential real estate transactions, and insurance and risk management matters.

Codie C. Dukes, (Litigation), associate, born in San Bernardino, California, 1977. B.A., with honors in Political Science, California State University of San Bernardino (2000); J.D., Thomas Jefferson School of Law (2003); Admitted to California Bar (2004). During Law School, Ms. Dukes was a member of the Mock Trial Team and received awards for her participation in Mock Trial Competitions. Ms. Dukes's areas of practice include, civil, real estate and business litigation.

Aaron J. Kudla, (Transactional), associate, born in Idaho, 1975, B.A. in Economics, California State University, Fullerton (1999), J.D. with a Concentration in Intellectual Property, Telecommunications and Technology Regulation; Admitted to California Bar (2004). Mr. Kudla has extensive speech and debate experience going back to undergraduate school when he was President of the Speech and Debate Team and qualified for the National Debate Tournament. In law school, he was a member of the Trial Team and competed in the San Diego Consumer Attorneys and American Trial Lawyers of American competitions and received both the Award of Academic Excellence in Trial Practice and the Intellectual Property and Telecommunications Scholarship Award. Mr. Kudla's areas of practice include, real estate, business and intellectual property as well as experience in civil litigation.

September J. Katje (Litigation), associate, born in Bellflower, California, 1979.  B.S., in Business Administration, California State University, San Marcos (2000); M.S.B.A, Entrepreneurship Emphasis, San Diego State University (2002); J.D., cum laude, California Western School of Law (2003); Admitted to California Bar (2003).  During law school, Ms. Katje was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts I and Contracts II.  She served on the law review and international law journal of her law school as an associate editor.  She is a member of the  North San Diego County Bar Association. 

Andre C. Didier, (Litigation), associate, born in Illinois, 1961. B.A., in Communications, California State University, Fullerton (1985); J.D., Thomas Jefferson School of Law (2000); Admitted to California Bar (2001). Mr. Didier is an experienced civil litigator with a background in defense of professional liability, hospital malpractice, premises liability, and government tort liability. He has also represented clients in state licensing board matters. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Didier was a senior insurance adjuster with more than ten years of experience handling commercial and personal lines property losses. He has earned an Associates in Claims (AIC) designation. During law school, Mr. Didier was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Professional Responsibility and a member of the National Mock Trial Team. He is a member of the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County.
