Melissa Engle and Liam Perry Recognized as Rising Stars in 2019

White and Bright, a North County San Diego-based law firm for more than 37 years, announced today that two of its attorneys were named as San Diego Rising Stars in 2019 by Super Lawyers – Melissa Engle and Liam Perry. This is the fourth consecutive year that Ms. Engle has been recognized with this award, and it is the first year for Mr. Perry.

About Super Lawyers

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third-party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, and selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with the exception that the candidate must either be 40 years old or younger or have practiced for 10 years or less. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named as Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named on the Rising Stars list. To be included as a Rising Star is an immense honor.

Perry has extensive experience in litigation, specifically focused around the defense of insurance agencies. He has worked for some of the largest insurance companies in the country, and he has an aggressive approach when it comes to asserting or defending the rights of his clients. He has mastered the arts of discovery, document research, and understanding the nuances of litigation.
