The law firm of White and Bright, LLP provides transactional and litigation services to businesses and individuals throughout San Diego and North County, and beyond. Our practice is built on expertise gained through decades of serving clients and a cutting-edge strategic and pragmatic approach to addressing legal concerns and resolving disputes.
Our attorneys provide value by focusing on our clients’ success in business and personal matters. We get to know each client’s business and family. We become as invested in their well-being as they are. Our down-to-earth attitude makes our clients both comfortable and confident.
An unwavering commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with clients is a hallmark of our practice. White and Bright attorneys provide counsel to many small business owners, who trust in us to understand their needs and share their goals. We work side-by-side with our clients to address immediate concerns and strategically build a foundation for the long-term success of their businesses.
We combine our expertise, experience, and business acumen with an uncommon dedication to providing practical, reasonable solutions. Our spirit of enthusiasm, courage, and passion drive us to pursue success and achieve superior results in every matter we handle.
Real estate is at the core of our practice. It has been an intrinsic part of our foundation since establishment of the firm in 1981. We know real estate. And we know San Diego. Our attorneys provide services for a full range of real estate transactions and litigation.
In our business and corporate law practice, our attorneys work with clients from inception of a business throughout the entire lifecycle of the enterprise, including formation, structure, governance, ongoing management, transactions, and litigation. Business planning is an essential aspect of the counsel we provide.
Our litigation services cover a wide range of complex subjects, including contract and business disputes, real estate matters, construction issues, commercial debt collection, and governance controversies. Trust and estate litigation, which encompasses conflicts involving wills and trusts, is a crucial part of our practice. Our practice includes matters in both state and federal courts. We are aggressive but even-tempered litigators, who recognize that sometimes the best strategic and practical solution does not involve going to trial.
Estate planning is vital for both business owners and individuals. Our services include business succession planning to ensure that a successful enterprise passes from one generation to the next in a seamless and optimal fashion. We also assist with trust administration and all aspects of probate and estate administration.
Long-standing relationships with many of our clients demonstrate our enduring success. Often, clients initially request services for one matter, and then expand the relationship as their goals and needs change.
Our clients come to us largely through referrals from existing clients and trusted advisors that include real estate professionals, CPAs, and other attorneys. The nature of our client base provides further testament to the success of our approach and philosophy.

Bruce and David S. Bright started White and Bright in 1981. Although Bruce recognized that there was more money to be made elsewhere, he loved the practice of law and was active in the practice until his death in 2005. He was a trusted counselor and learned friend and is missed by all who came to rely on his unmatched intellect and sound advice.
