Nicole E. Varela

Nicole Varela is an Associate Attorney at White and Bright LLP, whose practice focuses on business litigation and commercial transactions, asset protection, and trust and estate law.

Ms. Varela graduated magna cum laude from California Western School of Law, where she was on the Dean’s Honor Roll and earned the award for top student in Civil Procedure, Evidence, and Business Planning. Prior to law school, Ms. Varela worked for several years as a California-licensed life and health insurance agent, and earned a Chartered Life Underwriter® designation from the American College of Financial Services. Ms. Varela has extensive experience analyzing insurance policies, annuities, and retirement plans.

As a law student, Ms. Varela served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Andrew G. Schopler in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, where she gained valuable experience in neutrally evaluating complex civil litigation actions. Prior to joining White and Bright, Ms. Varela worked for an insurance defense firm, evaluating commercial general liability, professional liability, and other insurance policies for potential coverage and assuming a defense if warranted.
