Robert M. Daniels

Robert M. Daniels is an experienced family law attorney who has represented individuals and families throughout San Diego County for more than 20 years. His practice focuses on divorce, child custody and support, property division, spousal support, domestic violence matters, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and other complex family law disputes.

Robert brings significant trial and litigation experience to his family law practice, having handled business, real estate, professional liability, bankruptcy, fraud and other civil litigation. This broad background is particularly valuable in divorces involving family-owned businesses, real estate holdings, complex financial interests and other unique or high-value assets.

Working closely with clients to understand their priorities and develop practical strategies to resolve difficult and often highly personal disputes is Robert’s goal. When an agreement can be reached through negotiation or mediation, he helps clients pursue an efficient resolution. When litigation is necessary, he’s an experienced advocate in the courtroom.

He also serves as a court-appointed settlement pro tem judge, helping parties resolve family law disputes without trial. He regularly works with attorneys and judicial officers to provide continuing legal education.

A longtime leader in the San Diego legal community, Robert is a past president of the North County Bar Association and a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. His community involvement has included service on the boards of the Autism Society of San Diego, Rotary Club of Escondido and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego.

A San Diego native, Robert clerked for an international consulting firm in Paris, concentrating on foreign direct investment while attending the University of San Diego School of Law.

Robert lives in North County San Diego with his wife and two children. Outside the office, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, golf and camping.
