Fred Pfister Named Among…

White and Bright, LLP Co-Managing Partner Fred Pfister is among the attorneys recognized by the Daily Journal as one of California’s Top Real Estate & Development Lawyers for 2026 (subscription required).

Fred represents property owners, developers, investors and businesses in complex real estate transactions and litigation throughout Southern California. His practice spans the full life cycle of real estate, from acquisitions, financing and development to commercial leasing, construction disputes and litigation.

Among his recent accomplishments, Fred represented property owners in an arbitration involving the redevelopment of an underutilized Escondido shopping center, securing an award exceeding $500,000 plus attorneys' fees following a dispute with a construction contractor.

“More importantly, the project was ultimately completed, and the property now includes a Montessori school and other community-serving uses,” Fred told the legal publication in a profile published on Oct. 28, 2026.

He also advises multifamily developers on property acquisitions and redevelopment projects throughout San Diego County and Southern California, including environmentally challenged properties and underutilized sites being considered for new housing. Other recent work includes representing a religious organization acquiring property for a permanent worship, education and community center, and negotiating commercial leases for an expanding business.

Fred's ability to navigate both transactional and litigation matters allows him to anticipate potential obstacles, manage risk and develop practical solutions that advance his clients' business objectives.

“Part of my role is understanding the business behind the real estate,” Fred said.

He is involved in the real estate community through the Urban Land Institute and North San Diego County REALTORS®. He also plays a key role in White and Bright's leadership, growth and mentorship of the next generation of attorneys.

Congratulations to Fred on this well-deserved recognition!
